How I Got Started
I first began creating teaching resources when I was still in college. I saw a need in the classrooms I worked with and created resources to serve those needs.
It wasn’t until April of 2017 when I posted my first resource on Teachers Pay Teachers. My main goal was to help other teachers who also needed these resources.
As a new teacher with limited funds, I wasn’t able to purchase resources for my classroom, so I created my own!
Over time, creating resources became a passion of mine. I LOVE hearing from teachers about how my resources have helped them or their students in some way.
My hope is I will continue to help teachers and students around the world. Teaching can be hard, so I want to help in any way I can.
More About Me
I have known since I was a very young child that I wanted to become a teacher.
My mother is an elementary teacher, so I grew up with tons of practice teaching an empty classroom of pretend students after school when I was young and grading papers as I grew older.
My husband and I met while I was still in college and got married my second year teaching.
Not long after, we adopted our dog, Drake.
A few years later, we had our son, Briggs. He is our whole world!
Education
I graduated from the University of Georgia with my Bachelor’s Degree. (Go Dawgs)
I received my Masters Degree and Reading Endorsement from Valdosta State University and my Specialist Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University.
I believe teachers are lifelong learners. I love learning new ideas and strategies I can implement into my classroom and resources I make and share.
This education and training has greatly improved my ability to make high quality products that are useful for many teachers.
